The "General Technical Requirements for Vault Doors" (GB 37481-2019) is a Chinese national standard proposed and managed by the Ministry of Public Security, and officially implemented on May 1, 2020. This standard specifies the product definition, classification methods, technical indicators, and inspection rules for vault doors, and is applicable to the design and acceptance of vault doors in banking systems and other locations requiring high security levels.
The standard was issued by the Standardization Administration of China, replacing the original industry standard JR/T 0001-2000 "Vault Doors". The drafting units included the Currency and Gold Bureau of the People's Bank of China and the Technology Department of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, and it was jointly compiled by experts in the field of financial security such as Hu Zhiang and Qiu Rixiang.
